Jim Carrey loves Phillip Morris

Filming has begun on Jim Carrey's newest flick- a prison break comedy titled I Love You Phillip Morris.

On set the Hollywood funny man was almost unrecognisable in costume as a very camp-looking gentleman. Carrey was dressed in a slim-fitting black T-shirt, white jeans, a gold lion's head buckle on his belt, and a generous helping of fake tan.

During the filming Carrey was seen getting to 'grips' with co-star actor Rodrigo Santoro, with his hand on his co-stars behind. In the film, which is based on a true story, he plays a con artist who is sent to prison, where he falls in love with his cellmate Phillip Morris.

The cellmate is played by British actor Ewan McGregor.

In preparation for their roles it has been reported that McGregor and Jim Carrey visited a gay bar together.
The actors were spotted attending 'Martini Tuesday' at Miami's Halo bar. A source said: "Jim and Ewan looked like they were having a great time. They were laughing and joking and
looked as though they were really trying to get into character.

In the film McGregor's character is freed from jail, while Carrey's character Steven Russell is sentenced to a total of 144 years behind bars after he tries to escape four times.

The movie is due for release in 2009.
